We are pleased to announce our annual "Flu Days".

These will be on: Saturday 1st October 2011 from 8.30 to 11.30 am
Saturday 15th October 2011 from 8.30 to 11.30 am Saturday 29th October 2011 from 8.30 to 11.30 am
Saturday 12th November 2011 from 8.30 to 11.30 am

No appointment is necessary, just turn up on the day. Last year, the maximum wait to be seen was about 3 minutes.

We strongly recommend this vaccination for anyone aged sixty-five or over, anyone with diabetes, asthma or other chest problems, heart problems, is a carer and anyone else whose resistance is low, as it protects against the flu and its complications. It does not give you flu and side effects are very rare.

We shall also be again offering the injection against some forms of pneumonia. You are welcome to have this as well, provided that you haven't had this before. You should NOT HAVE the pneumonia injection again if you have had this in the past.

Members of our Patient Participation Group will be present and able to tell you about their work and the benefits of joining.
